Bittersweet Endings
« on: March 12, 2010, 12:42:06 AM »
Sad and bittersweet endings have been part of Japanese literature, not just in anime and manga. Bittersweet ending is half-happy, half-sad, It is where you can never gain something without losing another thing.

An example would be - 5 Centimeters Per Second.

Saikano would be more bitter than sweet ending unless you stopped at episode 11)
"And through strange aeons, even Death may die"

Gurren Lagann definitely has a bittersweet ending...
Honey and CLover is more nittersweet throughout, than just the ending.

The fact that one's a typo with an 'n', and the other without. XD I meant bittersweet, sorry.
