I usually buy from rightstuff.com. Ebay is a good way to get anime for a cheap price as well; but sometimes, if you want the authentic version of something, you contact the sellers and make sure that they aren't bootlegs. If that kind of thing bother you, that is.
I've bought from a few people in anime communities, too. But that's rare for me.
