Cant not watch Major IMO... its very good.... quintessential sports anime... but I would recommend that you take it slow... watching 2 seasons back to back almost on the trot was not the nest idea for me... baseball gets old fast... so you wanna pace yourself...
One reason I liked Major was cause its a bit more sports centric than other basball anime I have seen (mostly by Adachi)... but it was also its curse... like I said.. baseball gets old fast... Adachi tends to inter space humor and romance very well, but tends to move away from the sports aspect a lot more than Major...
Basically.... Adachi will hold your interest for prolonged periods of watching while not providing as much sports action.... whereas Major will provide a lot more sports action... but is not suited to marathon sessions...
Anime/Dorama I would recommend seriously....
Skip Beat: Hilarious... never saw a female character with more spunk in an anime... not recently anyway... manga is superb also...
Glass Mask (2005): Better than the 1984 Adaptation... true to manga storyline... but incomplete subs... at least I couldnt find the last 7 episodes anywhere... (for free that is...)
Glass Mask (Dorama: S1,S2 and Sp ending): Deviates from manga a little... but only to shave off excess characters and some prolonged arcs... adds in a couple twists... Special Ending is supposed to be the one approved by the mangaka. Manga is actually incomplete...30 yrs running!! (Including about 13 yr Hiatus).... restarted recently... and is superb...
Liar game (Dorama): Some shoddy production... but an awesome storyline... you MUST read the manga... blows Kaiji out of the water and gives Death Note a stiff run for its money... many believe that it trumps even Death Note...
Stuff I am on the lookout for
Hiatari Ryokou (Anime): Need a Re-Dl ASAP!!
Miyuki (Anime): As above...
Yawara (Anime and Manga): Latter half of the series is missing from my collection... and I would kill for the scanslated manga...
