[RAW] Dororo
« on: August 30, 2010, 08:42:35 AM »
Alternative title:
どろろ (Japanese)
Genres: action, supernatural
Themes: historical, samurai

Quote
Plot Summary: Dororo, a young orphan thief, falls into the company of Hyakkimaru, a powerful demon-hunting Rounin. Before Hyakkimaru's birth his father, a greedy feudal lord, made a pact with 40 demons and let them each take a piece of his unborn son's body, in return for granting him great power. Hyakkimaru was born without arms, legs, eyes, ears a nose or mouth, a barely human creature, and his father had him thrown in the river. He was rescued and raised by Dr. Honma, who made him artificial limbs and helped him learn to fight the demons - each time he defeats one he reclaims one piece of his body. Now he and Dororo travel together through the war-torn countryside.

Now before you go on and say, 'Why a raw manga?' I'd like to point out that its vintage 1967-08-27 to 1968-07-22 (serialized in Shonen Sunday) and as far as I know (unless I suck at searching for links) the links below are the closest thing ever to those raws apart from the almost dead torrent kept alive by very few people.

Good to know. Those links are for people like Kyo, ai-chan and others who want to collect vintage stuff. Sadly, most of them are raws and I'm just uploading them onto MU so that others have easy access to them.

For the moment I'm on a vintage collecting spree so I'll be uploading some more when I find them via torrents.

Atreya from animestan is jlpt2 afaik so he can understand about 75% of animes without subs
He was interested in making a fansubbing group for regional languages
Making south india watch naruto with tamil subtitles is better than nothing at all :p
Atty will traslate jp for you, and you translate to your local language

Join #animestan on immortal-anime on IRC (using www.mibbit.com) if you are interested in participating...or just join for timepass etc
IRC is a slowchat network, expect a quiet channel for hours at a time, then a burst of activity for a while

translating into english is more than enuf. no need of translating to any indian languages.
i have his gmail id, maybe i could get him to translate a manga, so that i could clean up the raws and put in the translations. Its hard work though, which no office going person could take up.
