Opening and ending theme of anime

I know there already exists a thread in Animax forum on this topic. Although many Animax members (including me) have voted for the motion, nothing has come up so far.

So I was think if I could be of help. Since I have original R1 DVDs, I can arrange for the opening and closing themes. Most of the DVDs come with option for textless opening and closing (what is means is you get to see the video footage of the opening or closing themes without the credit texts scrolling up/down the screen)

As an example, I am posting the opening and closing theme of Gunslinger Girls with this post.

Some anime series do not have the option to remove the onscreen texts like in Kare Kano, as shown below.

You will need a minimum connection of 256 Kbps to view the web video properly.

If you are having trouble playing the video, I have included the downloadable version as well. Click on the respective link to download the video your local disk and play.

All the opening and closing themes would be ripped directly from the DVD, preserving the video and audio quality intact. The video size would be same as that you would find in the DVD, with stereo downmix from Dolby digital. The downloadable version of the video would be encoded in DivX, so you will need DivX installed on your PC.

Now only if u gave better anime to watch like FMA or Sam X rather that Gunslinger Girls and Kare Kano

These were the two DVDs which were on my shelf when I though of this.
And I haven't seen Animax for ages, so I really don't know if the opening/closing theme has been shown for Gunslinger Girls.

Probably the best idea that you have had Animeindia........

But I think that if we just keep on providing such 'perks' to the forum members none of them will feel the inclination to buy Original Anime products.........and that would be a shame.......

If people will not buy then companies wont supply..... Dig? We want anime to come to India well and good, but there must be some incentive for the companies right?

Maybe a watermark on the video? Or some other form of marking would be good........

PS: (@Dylan) Kare Kano easily ranks higher than most anime you will see on Animax....... If you want FMA and SamX then say so, but try not to use the kind of terminology that you have used in your post.

I strongly believe that people should have access to the original opening and closing themes...

I'd request the original Japanese opening theme or Ghost in the Shell:Stand Alone Complex.
