I love the story/lore behind these 2 characters...not to mention their innate strength and determination

There are a couple of more... but Saber (Fate/Stay Night) is the best amongst the best  8)

I like lots of female characters. Belldandy, Skuld, Urd, all other female characters from Ah My Goddess, then both the main characters of You're Under Arrest, all girls of Shining Wind, and so on.... :D I have a big heart you see  ;)

I would have to say my favorite female anime character would have to be Tomoyo Daidouji from Cardcaptor Sakura.  She is pretty, multi-talented, caring, and immensely intuitive for a young girl.  She is very mature, but also a very amusing character to watch on screen.  I just love her!    ^_^

Yes! Tomoyo Daidouji from CCS is my favourite character as well ^_^ she's such a laugh, and very sweet! :lol:

Mari Wakatake from Blue Drop.

There have been others. This is one of my more recent viewings. The character development in this one is quite good.

My favorite Woman charcater would be Yoko Ichihara from xxxHolic.

I suppose, we have lot of things in common.  Not to mention, I have lot of Respect for who she is..................
