Well when I first bought these DVD's at 4$ apiece.... I only did so because they were cheap.... seeing as I had watched the subs beforehand....
The storyline had nothing exceptionally good on offer and the anime focused on a single arc.......
BUT.... After watching them I realize that even at full MRP these DVD's would not have been a bad buy.....
Animation is by Studio GONZO..... Which automatically implies great animation..... (this is evident in the subs too of course)
When I watched it again I also found myself marveling at the subtleties that the animators had worked into the storyline.....
However what was most impressive was the Voice acting.... the English VA's did a terrific job.... their tones brought out the personality of the character very well....
The extras which came along with the disc's are not bad either..... fold out inserts..... Clean OP and END.... Character Galleries..... Production sketches..... and extra videos and music video clips.....
The themes themselves were excellent but watching them 'clean' was awesome....
The quality of the video was crisp and resolution was great....
The extra videos are great too!! You wont find those online!!
The outer packaging is sturdy and great to look at as well....
All in All.... ADV has done a good job with this series...
